Marine
Consecutive to the fusion between Axa and Winterthur, the transport branch of Axa Belgium has been transferred since 01 January 2009 to SA JEAN VERHEYEN NV, also a member of the group AXA. The reason of this merger is to strengthen its position as market leader with a total collection of 55 million euros. Proximity is maintained on Brussels and Liège, the teams are unchanged.
The product range has been renewed with a focus on cargo, cmr or logistics , exhibitions , fairs and removals, etc. SA JEAN VERHEYEN NV, member of the Axa Group, is the absolute market leader in these areas and has an excellent reputation. The agency also wants to strengthen its presence in the hull market (inland navigation and fishing).
Non Marine
Consecutive to the fusion between Axa and Winterthur, it has been decided to merge both the activities of Axa Art Antwerp and the Non Marine department of the SA JEAN VERHEYEN NV, these 2 entities being redundant in their activities. Therefore the team of Axa Art has joined the Verheyen Non Marine department on July 1, 2008 and the operations have been transferred from Antwerp to the premises of the SA JEAN VERHEYEN NV in Brussels.
This has enabled to build a solid task force with the combination of Axa Art experience in art insurance as well as the know how of the SA JEAN VERHEYEN NV in art in general and also in the handling of private collections and patrimonies through the Patrimony and Patrimoine policies.
The general conditions have been refunded to provide the broadest policy of the market in the segments of private patrimonies, art collection and exhibitions, art galleries, as well as music instruments. The products are now labelled JEAN VERHEYEN, with the name of the previous Axa Art policies such as Art Plus and Classics. |
